Boogie Studio Mixes The Adidas Originals Star Wars Cantina 2010 Promo

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Boogie Studio had the chance to work with Sid Lee on this new fabulous Adidas ad.

It’s a familiar place, the Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina where Luke and Obie-Wan Kenobi negotiated the terms of Han Solo taking them to a galaxy far, far away in his beloved Millennium Falcon. This is the Adidas 2010 version of that scene and it has a couple of twists.

Watch as the old Star Wars crew get together with some new faces to enjoy the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Some of the people in this cantina include Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, Noel Galagher, Ian Brown, Franz Beckenbauer, Ciara, DJ Neil Armstrong, and a very funny appearance by Jay Baruchel, who puts to rest the debate over who shot first, once and for all!

This clever Adidas ad’s sound design was remixed at Boogie Studio in Montreal. Denis-Eric Pednault and Andres Norambuena, two-master pioneers of studio sound design and mixing, did the mixing for this ad.

The unique film was created as a result of a close partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd., who granted Adidas use of their film for this special execution.

The campaign will launch on TV in UK and the US on June 12th. The full-length two-minute version is available online here.

Sid Lee and Boogie Studio Celebrate Originality With This New Adidas Promo

Saturday, May 29th, 2010

Boogie Studio created the final mix on this new promotional ad by Sid Lee, for the Adidas “Street Where Originality Lives” campaign.

The song mixed in this video is called “Why Can’t There Be Love”, originally by Dee Edwards and remixed by Pilooski.

Boogie worked with the Pilooski version to help create a soundtrack for the people who live in the Adidas originals neighborhood in this commercial. Some of the many celebrities that you will see hanging out in this hood are: Noel Gallagher, Snoop Dogg, and David Beckham, just to name a few.

As the track plays, the people in this street celebrate their originality in many different ways, while sporting many different styles. From day to night the party keeps on going as Adidas remains at the center of the celebration.

How do you celebrate your originality?

Adidas Originals Poker Song

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Everyone on the internet was wondering what was the song in the Adidas Poker Game (don’t confuse yourself with the Adidas TV ad, that song was Beggin, here are all the versions). Akido 01 is my personal favorite :-)

For the Poker video, well it was an original song written by us, so don’t look anywhere, you won’t find it because it does not exist… yet.

Right now it’s only about 1 min long, so it’s not a full length song…

If enough of you guys ask, we might make a full version.

adidaslogo Here’s the song in its current state!

For all you Audio geeks out there, no, it’s not mixed or mastered like in the Poker video. Again, we will do a full mix and full song if the demand is there.

Thanks for the enthusiasm!

Adidas Originals House Party (TV spot) song versions

Here at Boogie Studio (http://www.boogiestudio.com), we’ve had the chance to work on the last Adidas Original campaign. It was a pleasure to team up with Sidlee to remix different versions of the song “Beggin” by Frankie Valli. We thought it could be interesting for everyone to hear the different versions of the song we mixed for the TV spots.
